Manchester City Defender, Nedum Onuoha Completes £2.5m Transfer To QPR

Nedum Onuoha revealed his delight after completing his £2.5million switch from Manchester City to QPR.

The defender has signed a four-and-a-half-year deal at Loftus Road to be reunited with former boss Mark Hughes.

Onuoha, 25, failed to nail down a regular spot at City and is now keen to kickstart his career. And he could make his debut in the FA Cup fourth-round tie against Chelsea on Saturday.

He said: 'This was the right time for me to join a club like QPR. The manager obviously played a massive factor in my decision to come here.

'I've worked with him before and he always wants players around him who are open and honest.

'He wouldn't have come here if he didn't believe that there was a squad of players here that can achieve the goals he has.

'The ambition of the owners was really appealing. This is my club now and I'll give everything to help us succeed.'
