PDP To Sanction Adetunji Olurin For Attending ACN's Budget Session!

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ogun state, is contemplating sanctioning  its governorship candidate in  April election,  Adetunji Olurin, for  attending the recent  2012 Budget presentation by Governor Ibikunle Amosu of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, to the state House of Assembly.

The party at the weekend inaugurated two committees including disciplinary committee with a view to addressing all matters of perceived indiscipline by erring members and recommends appropriate actions to the party.


At briefing during the inauguration at the party secretariat in Abeokuta, the Chairman, Dayo Soremi who constituted a-7 man disciplinary committee led by Wale Egunleti,  said  it  was in compliance with Article 21(3) of the party constitution.

Soremi had condemned Olurin for attending the budget presentation by ACN-led government in the state, threatening to apply the party’s law against Olurin, claiming his action was not supported by the party.

The state Chairman who also inaugurated a -12 man zoning committee headed by Agboola Alausa, explained that the action was aimed at making the forthcoming congresses smooth and fruitful.

According to Soremi, “the zoning committee as it is presently constituted is expected to   have zone offices into the three senatorial Districts in the state, in line with the party’s principle of equity, justice and fairness.”
