Breaking News: Bomb Scare At Oshodi, Lagos!

In the wake of incessant bombings and bomb scare across the nation, Lagos State has its own share tonight. 

At about 8.32pm, a tanker carrying Premium Motor Spirit(PMS) popularly called petrol exploded at oshodi. The explosion was so loud that people think is was a bomb. 

In the melee, people scampered for safety; many abandoned their cars and took cover. Even the military personnel at the oshodi military cantonement were startled. The heavy traffic congestion that is notorious with the area cleared automatically.

This has proven a step further the level of insecurity in Nigeria.

The good part of it is that less than five (5) minutes, more than three fire fighting trucks belonging to Lagos state goverment responded and fought the fire.

Nigeria is fast becoming a dumping ground for used, archaic and outdated trucks which are mostly used in the transportation of petroleum products across the country coupled with unmotorable roads that are at their deplorable states which might have caused the explosion.
