Jose Mourinho criticises referee Chris Foy
Jose Mourinho wants the Premier League to never appoint Chris Foy to officiate another Chelsea game after the controversy of their defeat to Aston Villa on Saturday.
Foy dismissed Willian for two bookable offences while he also sent off Ramires in stoppage time for a dangerous tackle on Karim El Ahmadi.
The referee then also sent Mourinho to the stands for coming onto the pitch as the situation threatened to boil over, although he didn’t punish Villa manager Paul Lambert for encroaching first and further than the Portuguese.
Foy also refused to speak with the Chelsea boss after the game and Mourinho, who made reference to Foy also sending-off two Chelsea players at QPR in 2011, feels it would be better if he no longer took charge of any of their matches.

“Maybe it’s helpful that the (Premier League referees’) committee doesn’t send him (Foy) to our matches,” he said. “I don’t have the right to request (that).
“It’s just I think they have to analyse the situation and see if every time he has Chelsea – or not every time – but many times he has Chelsea and problems are there, I think maybe it would be a good decision.
“The last time I remember something similar was in a match at QPR’s stadium. I didn’t know (that Foy had refereed the game at QPR). It’s a coincidence.”
