Nelson Mandela turns 94 today

Today marks the 94th birthday of former president of South Africa, Nelson Mandela.

Individuals, communities and organisations have been asked to donate 67 minutes to doing something for the society, in commemoration of the 67 years Mandela gave to the struggle against apartheid.

On Tuesday, the eve of his birthday, former president of the United States, Bill Clinton, and his daughter Chelsea visited him. The pair, along with Mandela’s wife, Machel planted trees as part of their good deed for the day.
