Backheel penalty star killed in car crash

AWANA DIAB, the footballer who became an internet sensation with a backheeled penalty, has been killed in a car crash.

The United Arab Emirates midfielder, 21, shot to fame in July thanks to a cheeky spot-kick in his country's 7-2 win over Lebanon. Considered a promising talent, Awana was tragically involved in an accident when travelling back from training yesterday.
